A job fair sponsored by Congressman Andre Carson and Ivy Tech was worth the trip for one woman, who walked in, talked to a prospective employer, and was then hired on the spot.

Donita Harris says she's been looking for work for a little over a year.  Her unemployment ran out months ago and she was at the point where she had given up on job fairs. Harris says the number of companies gave her hope that this job fair would be different, and after several conversations, was offered a job working in the health care field.

Carson says he hopes to hear more success stories from the hundreds of people competing to work at 75 different companies.
