A Franklin Township Schools teacher has been arrested for alleged child solicitation in Wisconsin.

Listen:

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say they received an arrest warrant from authorities in Wisconsin for Bob Roach, a teacher at Franklin Township Middle School East. IMPD Officer Kendale Adams says Roach was arrested for the equivalent of Indiana's child solicitation law. He says Roach allegedly solicited a 15-year-old online which prompted the charge.

Officer Adams says it does not appear that this arrest involves any students in Franklin Township. Franklin Township Schools Superintendent Dr. Flora Reichanadter says Roach has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

IMPD detectives served a search warrant for Roach's computer. Officer Adams says they will search the computer for any possible criminal activity that could result in charges being filed locally. Adams did not say if detectives seized a personal computer or a school-issued computer.

Roach is being held in the IMPD Arrestee Processing Center awaiting transfer to Wisconsin.
