Special License Plate Leads To Expansion Of Spay Neuter Services

8/8/2012

Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana is expanding its reach statewide thanks to more Hoosiers buying the new Pet Friendly license plate.

Launched in 2011, Pet Friendly license plate sales now have topped over 7500.

SNSI uses funds from the sale of the plate to provide financial assistance to those who qualify to help them spay or neuter their pets.  SNSI works with participating veterinarians, who agree to be compensated at reduced rates.  Counties in particular need of veterinary coverage are: Carroll, Clinton, Delaware, Jasper, Miami, Newton, Pike, Pulaski, Starke, Vermillion, and White.

Veterinarians in all counties of Indiana are urged to help, and those interested can get more information by calling SNSI at 317.767.7771 or on their website at getthemfixed.org

Since its inception in 1977, SNSI has facilitated over 66,000 spay / neuter surgeries for Hoosier dogs and cats.
