Bisard Victim's Widow Holding Memorial Ride

8/10/2012

The efforts of a widow to remember her husband will benefit a local charity this weekend.

Listen:

Luisa Wells lost her husband Eric just over two years ago when his motorcycle was struck by IMPD Officer David Bisard. Wells established the Eric Wells Memorial Foundation shortly after Eric's death and has organized a benefit ride on Saturday in Pendleton.

The ride begins at 10am at American Legion Post #117 in Pendleton, and will benefit the Dayspring Center Homeless Shelter. Luisa Wells says Eric always tried to help kids because he felt they couldn't help themselves. She says her husband and his parents frequently did charity work over the holidays helping kids by donating toys and necessities.

Luisa says Eric wanted to start organizing charity rides before his death, and says this weekend's benefit ride is a perfect start for the foundation.

You can donate at EricWellsMemorialFoundation.org.
