No Charges Against Grandma for Leaving Boy in Car

Boy In Car Was Okay

8/10/2012

The Marion County Prosecutor's office says grandmother Willa Crawley will not be charged for leaving her ten-year-old grandson in a car outside Lafayette Square.

Crawley told police the boy complained of a headache and asked if he could stay in the car while she shopped for school uniforms for other children.  Officers say the car was running with the air conditioning working.

Another shopper noticed the boy in the car and called mall security, who in turn called police.
