You may meet the Department of Public Works in a dark alley.  The Ballard administration's RebuildIndy initiative is going to work on resurfacing and other improvements for 33 alleys.  

“Resurfacing these alleys will address a long-neglected need in Indianapolis,” said Lori Miser, Director of the Department of Public Works. “The improvements will give residents and businesses smoother access to properties and provide better infrastructure for operations such as trash pick-up."

The targeted alleys are located in Center, Washington, Wayne, Warren and Decatur townships.  The project is expected to cost approximately $700,000.
