Police arrested a student at Franklin Township Middle School East for starting a fight on a school bus that was caught on video and posted to Facebook.

Listen:

A report from IMPD says two students were fighting over seats on the bus, with one student demanding that another student "get out of his seat." The student who started the argument pushed the other student into a seat, his head striking a window. Police say his injury was only minor.

The Facebook video is being held as evidence, and police say a message believed to be from the boy who started the fight was posted as a comment below the video.

Franklin Township School Superintendent Flora Reichanadter has not returned a phone call, but the school district issued a written statement, saying the school district "is taking appropriate and swift action regarding this matter."

The statement says the school district will post new information on its website as it becomes available.
