Police Find $100K in Marijuana Plants in Wayne County Field

Indiana State Troopers discovered a large marjiuana crop in Wayne County Tuesday morning.
Acting on a tip, troopers found the crop of over 100 marijuana plants near the edge of a woodded area and a corn field north of U-S 35 near the town of Economy just after 10:30. State Police Sgt. John Bowling says some of the plants were over six feet tall. The plants would have had a street valute of over 100-thousand dollars.
Master Trooper Pete Cates said the plants were in good condition considering the drought. No arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing.
