Democratic Candidate for Governor, John Gregg still isn't decided on a health care plan for Indiana, but he is getting close.

Gregg and his running mate Vi Simpson, met with Governor Daniels to discuss options, and Gregg seems to favor a hybrid program that would roll in part of the federal health coverage options, without adopting all of it, and risk handing over program control to the federal government.

Gregg says taking a "regional approach" to the health care exchanges, could end up saving money in emergency room visits, while maintaining some amount local control. Gregg also stopped short of fully backing the "hybrid plan" saying that he will have something in writing to Governor Daniels in the next few days.

Daniels is meeting with all three candidates for governor to discuss the healthcare policy that may take effect before Daniels' term expires.
