Police Urge Safety As Motorcycle/Moped Crashes Increase

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a wreck on I-70 last night, just one more example of the serious injuries riders are facing.

 If you are on two wheels, the police want you to be careful, and wear a helmet.

Helmet use isn't required for most riders in Indiana, except kids under 18, but the high number of crashes has police urging common sense.

Tony Slocum from the Indiana State Police says 118 people on two wheels died last year, but already this year, 109 riders have lost their lives
