Listen:
Marion County Clerk Beth White says the deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 9th. New Marion County residents or folks who have changed addresses or their names need to re-register in the county. White says early voting begins Monday, Ocotober 8th in the clerk's office in the City County Building. White says they hope to secure satellite locations for early voting, but so, far nothing yet.
White says state law mandates that early voting ends at noon Monday, November 5th. Mail-in ballots are due October 29th. Mail-in balloting is limited to seniors over 65, those who are confined to their homes, those who are working all day on election day and can't make it to the polls and poll workers. Government issued photo IDs are required to vote early or at the polls on Election Day. They include: drivers licenses, passports and military IDs.
