Indiana State Police are investigating the deaths of a father and his 14-year-old son in Putnam County.

Listen:

A family member called 911 after finding the bodies in a home in the 6500 block of W. County Road 450 S. in Reelsville Wednesday afternoon. The victims were identified as 40-year-old Kevin Boatright and his 14-year-old son Jeremy.

Police say it's believed Jeremy Boatright died of an apparent gunshot wound and his father died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Autopsies are scheduled for Thursday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

On Tuesday, State Police began an investigation into allegations that Kevin Boatright had contributed to the delinquency of two girls under the age of 18. Details of that investigation were not released but police say they spoke to Boatright and there wasn't enough information for an immediate arrest.

The investigation into the deaths of Kevin and Jeremy Boatright is ongoing.
