Remnants of Hurricane Isaac put a damper on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series at Lucas Oil Raceway over the holiday weekend.
The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals have been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday. NHRA Spokesman Scott Smith says they will have one day of qualifying with two sessions for the professional classes on Saturday. The $100,000 Traxxas Shootout will also be held on Saturday for the Funny Car classes.
Smith says Monday's original, full schedule will run on Sunday for the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racers. Traxas Ford Mustang Funny Car Driver Courtney Force says she was disappointed the event was rained out because she was the no. 1 qualifier, and set a new track speed record of 317 miles per hour.
Smith says tickets purchased for the Labor Day weekend event will be valid for this weekend's races.
