46-year-old Martin "Skip" Ockomon, a brother of former Anderson Mayor Kris Ockomon, has been arrested on felony charges alleging sexually-oriented crimes against juveniles.
He is being charged criminal deviate conduct, compelling a victim by force or immiment threat of force, sexual misconduct with a minor, child molesting and criminal confinement. Another brother, 60-year-old Rodger Ockomon, has also been arrested in the case on charges of official misconduct and assisting a criminal.
State Police say the charges stem from their own lengthy investigation which was submitted to a Madison County Grand Jury and reviewed by a special prosecutor appointed last year.
Kris Ockomon lost a bid for re-election last November. As mayor, he was the target of a city employee's sexual harassment claim but he is not named in the case against his brothers.
