ISP Offers Parking Advice for BMW Championship This Weekend

9/7/2012

Police agencies have will have officers stationed along the route to the parking lots surrounding the Crooked Stick Golf Club again this weekend. The BMW Championships will play two final rounds Saturday and Sunday. Indiana State Police say the traffic cops will show you the best route.

If you try to make your own way, you might be disappointed.

"We may have a road blocked off that you think is gonna get you through," says Sgt. Brian Olehy, Indiana State Police. "The routes are designed to get you to the most direct routes to the major highways, the major arteries."

Traffic will be restricted after 6:30 a.m. on Towne Road.

"Northbound Towne Road from 106th Street northbound is not gonna be open." said Olehy. "Because that's part of the main shuttle route to get to the major parking at Cox Hall.

The weekend will open up some additional parking.

"There'll be some extra availble parking at some local schools," said Olehy. "During the week, they're in session...So we can't really utilize some of those overflow parking areas."
