Heavy storms rolled through Central Indiana Friday night.

Reports of low level flooding came in throughout the area including Speedway, Fountain Square and the south side of Indianapolis.  Police blocked off roads in flooded areas to keep cars away from the water.

IPL reported as many as 7,500 customers without power at one point Friday night.  Duke Energy had as many as 4,800 without power, mostly in Shelby and Vigo Counties.

Lightning is responsible for at least one fire.  In Wayne Township, a home was completely destroyed in the 600 block of Farley Drive.  Wayne Township Fire Division Chief Michael Pruitt says the homeowner heard a loud pop and was told by neighbors his house was on fire.  No injuries were reported.
