Don's Guns owner Don Davis says a gun store employee was justified in shooting a gunman dead.
Listen:
Davis says the shooting happened after a young, unidentified man rented a gun, shot three boxes of ammunition at the store firing range and later shot employee Ben Chance when Chance tried to collect payment. Davis says Chance returned fire which killed the suspect. Davis says the young man simply walked up and shot Chance when Chance tried to collect on the bill. Davis says Chance is expected to survive, but is in critical condition.
He says Chance is a family man who was simply fighting for his life. Davis says the entire incident was captured on store videotape. Davis says the young man was driving a black Chevy rental car from Enterprise. He believes the young man shot Chance because he didn't have money to pay for the gun rental and range. Davis says the store will reopen soon.
