Noble Laureate and Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi spoke in Ft. Wayne Tuesday.
Thousands gathered at Ft. Wayne's Memorial Coliseum to hear the leader of Myanmar's democracy movement. She spent nearly 20 years under house arrest after being democratically elected in 1989. She was greeted with cheers and signs and told the crowd that she would work to make sure anyone that wanted to return to Myanmar would be welcome.
Ft. Wayne has one of the largest concentrations of Burmese in the nation. Suu Kyi is currently on a 17-day visit to the U.S.
