Chris Economaki, who died Friday at the age of 91, found his passion early in life.

The son of a Greek immigrant, he was selling National Speed Sport News newspapers at the age of 13. Years later, he was calling races on radio and television.

The President and CEO of the ndianapolis Motor Speedway, Jeff Belskus, says the legendary motor sports broadcaster, publisher and commentator "set a standard for others to follow for generations and will be deeply missed."
