Historic NFL Figure Talks About The Future of Education

George Taliaferro joked about getting an award named after a cyclist, but he stopped the joking there and got very serious about education.

After receiving the Marshall "Major" Taylor Award ahead of the Circle City Classic, Taliaferro talked about the importance of academics, but not just in the classroom.

The first African American to be drafted in the NFL says older generations also have a responsibility to teach what they know and empower young people.

Taliaferro has kept busy since his six year NFL career ended decades ago, Giving back to the community through teaching, coaching, and community action.
