A spokesperson for Angie's List says the firm is vigorously defending itself against what may become a class action lawsuit.

However, the attorney representing Angie's List is declining comment. A Philadelphia-based Angie's List member filed the suit that claims the Indy-based firm didn't tell members they were automatically enrolled in more expensive membership plans. The suit claims Angie's List changed its services back in 2010 and defrauded members.

Angie's List Spokesperson Cheryl Reed will only say the firm is vigorously defending itself against the suit. Angie's List is a consumer review website that Angie Hicks started in Columbus, Ohio. It has about 1.4 million members.
