The Indiana Department of Health confirms the state's first death in the meningitis outbreak and with six more cases, the total of those infected has risen to 21.

The Health Department says the deceased patient was from out of state, but received the tainted steroid injection at one of the six Indiana clinics that received it from a pharmacy in Massachusetts.
The federal Centers for Disease Control report 14 deaths in all and 170 confirmed infections.
