The Indiana Department of Health has confirmed another three cases of fungal meningitis. That makes 24 Indiana cases traced to tainted steroid shots.
The first Indiana-related death was recorded Thursday. The C.D.C. says the person who died was from out of state, but received the injection at an Indiana clinic.
Nationwide, the C.D.C. now reports 185 confirmed cases. The number of deaths remains at 14.
The nationwide outbreak has been traced to a pharmacy in Massachusetts.
