The Republican party is sending many of it's biggest names to Indiana in an effort to get Richard Mourdock elected to the Senate.

Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina joined Indiana's other GOP Senator Dan Coats in appearing with Mourdock at stops in Indianapolis Wednesday, while New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to make a stop with Mourdock in Merrillville.

During an invitation only "business roundtable" at Easley Winery in Indianapolis, McCain, Graham and Mourdock listened to concerns expressed by several business owners, many of whom seemed inclined to support Mourdock.  McCain told them that electing Mourdock and helping Republicans gain a Senate majority will mean more business-friendly policies from Washington, which he and Graham say will lead to more job creation.

The longtime colleagues of outgoing Senator Dick Lugar also made open appeals to supporters of the man whom Mourdock defeated in the primary, some of which have been reluctant to support Mourdock because of the negative tone of part of the primary campaign. McCain says Mourdock holds the same values as beliefs as does Lugar, while Graham chided Mourdock's Democratic opponent Joe Donnelly for publically saying he didn't know whether he would vote for Harry Reid as Majority Leader.
