Doctor Explains Link Between Energy Drinks and Heart Problems

Energy drinks are loaded with caffeine and other chemicals, and they are supposed to put an extra spring in your step, but some docters are warning you to be careful.

Michael Ball with St. Vincent's Hospital says the chemistry of energy drinks combined with a pre-existing condition can be bad for your health.  Ball says caffeine will increase your heart rate and if you are prone to arythmias that might only be made worse.

The United States Food and Drug Administration has made *some* link between a handfull of deaths across the country, and Monster Energy.  The company that produces Monster says they are not responsible.
