New York University lost a lot of valuable research because of Hurricane Sandy.
The school says thousands of lab rats and mice died when back up generators failed and power was lost, but could the same kind of catastrophe happen at Indiana University?
Debra Hickman, a lab director at I-U says there is a plan in place for flood, or other natural disasters, however Hickman says the storm damage that caused years of research to be lost at NYU has been a wake up call for labs everywhere
