A Zionsville man faces serious charges after crashing his car into a house on the northeast side of Indianapolis Monday night. Devon Sylvester is under arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, and various drug charges.

IMPD reports Sylvester was westbound on East 56th Street when he crashed into a house at 5590 North Drexel Avenue. Paige Buckley, 16, was inside the home and suffered a broken leg and cuts to her face. She was taken to Methodist Hospital and rushed into surgery.

Sylvester admitted to investigators that he "did a line of cocaine and heroin" about an hour before the crash. Officers later found a small baggie of heroin and several drug paraphernalia items inside Sylvester's eyeglasses case. Sylvester was taken to Wishard for a blood draw Monday night. He is awaiting a court appearance.
