A bitter battle for the U-S Senate in Indiana, that started in the primary, ends with a Joe Donnelly victory.
The Democrat narrowly beat Republican Richard Mourdock after a bloody battle that featured weeks of attack ads, and tireless state tours.
Mourdock beat incumbent Dick Lugar in the primary, but struggled to gain back lost ground after making a controversial statement about rape during a debate.
Donnelly took the stage with his family and friends, and discussed the importance of working together to build a better Indiana.
Donnelly says one of the first things he would like to do, is reach out to Senator Lugar.
Libertarian Andrew Horning was a distant third.
