An car driven by an elderly woman plowed through four fenced-in backyards and hit a home before coming to rest on the deck of a second home this (Thursday) afternoon.

Wayne Township fire crews say the driver was going north on Country Club Road when she lost control. She told them she didn't remember the accident. Her son was in the car with her, but both were treated and released from the scene. Rescue crews say a 2-by-6 post from one of the fences came through the windshield between the two of them, barely missing both of them. No one else was hurt.

I.M.P.D. is investigating the crash.
