Earlham College Student Killed In Train Accident

Earlham College is mourning the loss of one of its students.
Therese Heymann, 21, of Burlingame, Calif.; was killed after being struck by a train in Richmond, Indiana Friday morning. Two other students, sophomore Lenore Edwards; and senior Graham Nissen were also hit by the train. Police and the Richmond Fire Department were called to the scene at 1:12 a.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
Earlham College officials decided to suspend classes Friday following news of the accident.
Thursday night had been designated College Night in the Historic Depot District.
