The Super Target in Fishers reopened all but its grocery section around 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) after smoke filled the building and activated a sprinkler this morning.
Shoppers were ordered out of the store near 116th and I-69 around 9:30 a.m.
Ron Lipps with the Fishers Fire Department said a single overhead sprinkler sprayed water inside the store.
He said fire investigators suspect the fire started while contractors were using a torch to make repairs on a cardboard baler. But the investigation is still ongoing.
Lipps said one firefighter was injured during the clean-up phase. But that injury was very minor.
