A price tag has been placed on just how much money airports across the state bring in, both in money, and jobs as part of a study.
Bart Giesler, Executive Director Aviation Association of Indiana, which helped back the study, says Indianapolis International creates a lot of work 21,000 jobs if you take into account direct hires and induced jobs as well. Induced jobs include restaurant and service industry workers, that airport employees, and travelers might use.
Statewide, the study says airports account for close to 70,000 jobs and more than $14 billion in spending.
