A nationwide strike has forced Hostess Brands to close several of its plants. Hundreds of Hostess workers in Indiana are not impacted yet, but Hostess Chief Executive Officer Gregory Rayburn says the entire company is just "days away" from being shut down because of the strike.
The maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread said that the strike has prevented it from producing and delivering products, and it is closing bakeries in Seattle, St. Louis and Cincinnati.
Thousands of union members, including those in Indiana, went on strike Friday to protest cuts to wages and benefits under a new contract offer, which the union rejected in September.
