Marion County Election Board Looks At Ballots In Tight Races

87th House District Separated By A Few Dozen Votes

Some races are still a little to close to call more than a week after the election.

Just a handful of votes separate candidates in Wayne Township, and only a few dozen votes separate Cindy Noe and Christina Hale in the 87th State House of Representatives District.

Marion County Clerk Beth White says about 950 ballots from Tuesday need to be reviewed for various reasons, but late absentee, and military ballots may still come in.

The races aren't official until Monday at noon. At that point candidates can decide if they want to challenge the election results, which would involve a court ruling, or just accept the outcome of the race
