CIB Hopes to Have Answers in PILOT Appeal

In about two weeks, the Capital Improvement Board hopes to have some answers about $15 million in proposed cuts to their budget.
Ann Lathrop, the head of the CIB says they have filed an appeal and they hope to have an answer soon. The CIB is also reaching out to the Indiana State Board of Accounts, asking for guidance on how to shape their 2013 budget.
The cuts floated and passed by the City-County Council Democrats asks for a payment in lieu of taxes, which could force capital or personnel budget cuts in the organization that oversees Banker's Life Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium, and other public venues in Indianapolis.
