A body found in a northside retention pond may be a missing Avon man after all.
The Marion County Coroner's office initially stated that the remains found near 65th and Keystone Friday were not that of 22-year-old Joshua Swalls because there were no identifying tattoos on the body.
However, Deputy Coroner Alfie Ballew says after additional information discovered during Saturday morning's autopsy, the body could be Swalls.
Ballew says officials will use dental records for forensic comparison to make a positive identification and hope to have a definitive answer by the end of the week.
An employee of a nearby Kroger store saw clothing in the water Friday and called police.
Swalls went missing November 3rd. He was last seen near the Lakewood Lodge Apartments, not far from the pond where the body was found.
