Now that Indianapolis has a permanent Chief of Police, what does the FOP leadership feel about the move?

FOP President Bill Owensby says naming Hite as Chief is a step in the right direction.  Owensby says he heard Hite mention the word team a couple of times as he made remarks after being sworn in, which Owensby says makes him feel it's a step toward a team concept.

Owensby says the communication is in place, and that Hite has the drive and ability to lead the department. He says the FOP is very optimistic the team will work together to get the job done and to make Indianapolis a great place to live.
