The PGA TOUR awarded Tournament of the Year honors to the BMW Championship in Carmel. The event drew 143,000 spectators to Crooked Stick Golf Club.
The PGA TOUR honored nine tournaments with "Best Of" Awards last week in La Quinta, California.
TOUR officials say the award was based on the BMW Championship's successful tournament activation, ticket and corporate sales, attention to detail and player amenities.
70 of the best PGA Golfers in the world participated in the BMW Championship in September. Rory McIlroy won the event.
