Something new is coming to the Indiana State Fair next summer.
Listen:
It's called "Kiddieland." Executive Director Cindy Hoye says it'll be an entirely separate midway located just off the Fall Creek-Gate 6 entrance of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Hoye says it'll be an area dedicated specifically for families with kids who can ride on smaller rides.
Hoye says North American Midway Entertainment Group is underwriting the entire cost. She's not sure of the total cost which will include landscaping, signage and more. Hoye says they'll take smaller rides from the main Midway and move them to the new midway for kids. She says they'll replace rides at the old midway with other features.
Hoye says they believe the customer is demanding Kiddieland and it's an enhancement for the fair. Kiddieland will feature about a dozen rides.
