Former Colts Center Jeff Saturday will retire following Sunday's Pro Bowl in Hawaii.
Saturday, who spent the last season with the Green Bay Packers, made the announcement Friday on the Grady and Big Joe Show on 1070 The Fan. He said he doesn't know what he will be doing after Sunday. "We got a lot of time to decide. I have a lot of opportunities and my wife and I will sit down and pray about it and make a good decision that's best for our family."
The Colts signed Jeff Saturday as an undrafted free agent in 1999. He spent 13 seasons with the Colts before becoming a free agent and signing with the Packers in 2011. Saturday called his career much better than he would have ever anticipated.
Sunday will be Saturday's sixth Pro Bowl, but his first as part of the NFC team. He's also a two-time first team All Pro. Saturday says he's enjoyed spending time with his family in Hawaii this week as well as catching up with old teammates including Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis who are all playing on Sunday as well.
