The number of deaths from the flu continues to climb in Indiana. The Indiana State Department of Health confirms three more deaths, which brings the state's total to 43.
The Marion County Health Department is offering free flu shots on Tuesday at its training building at 4012 N. Rural Street from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All of the free flu shots will be given to walk-ins only. No appointments are being taken. The health department encourages anyone over age 6 months to get a flu shot. Children under age 18 must have a parent or guardian with them to get the shot.
