Three men are in custody and face charges of robbery.
Police say an IMPD officer was flagged down in the 2900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street around 12:30 Monday afternoon and was told an armed street robbery had just occurred. After speaking with the victim, officers learned the suspects entered a home in the 600 block of West Eugene Street.
SWAT officers surrounded the home and noticed the three suspects leaving through the back door. Officers ordered the suspects to the ground and all three were taken into custody without incident.
The suspects were identified as 28-year-old Derrick Campbell, 26-year-old Desmond Clark and 25-year-old Christopher James. All face a preliminary charge of robbery and Campbell also faces a charge of carrying a handgun without a license.
