An Indianapolis girl missing since Friday was found alive Sunday morning.
Indianapolis Metro Police say 10-year-old Tatyana Staten was found wandering around the Devington Shopping Plaza parking lot by a neighbor and friend of the family. The neighbor took the girl home and contacted police.
Tatyana was taken to Community East Hospital for exposure, but was considered to be in good condition.
The girl was reported missing on Friday afternoon. Authorities believe the girl ran away from home after getting suspended from school earlier in the day.
An extensive search was launched for the girl both Friday and Saturday nights as officials feared for her well-being in the bitter cold weather conditions. Several agencies assisted in the search effort, including: IMPD Missing Person Detectives, Several IMPD District Officers, Indianapolis Fire Departments Urban Search and Rescue Team, Federal Partners, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children - Team Adam, and the Indianapolis Public Schools.
