The major winter storm bearing down on the northeast is impacting travelers in Indiana.
The National Weather Service put a swath of the country from New Jersey to Maine under a blizzard warning. Schools are closed and thousands of flights are canceled today and Saturday.
Carlo Bertolini with the Indianapolis Airport Authority says 14 departing flights were canceled to the northeast Friday morning and more are expected. He encourages travelers to check directly with the airline if possible online since they are the source of that information ultimately.
