Two suspects are in custody after a string of crimes across Indianapolis, including a murder in Southport.
Listen:
IMPD Sgt. Linda Jackson says a 17-year old and a 15-year old are in custody. The 17-year old is being treated for an unrelated condition at Wishard Hospital. The two were caught after a pursuit that began around 11:30am.
The chase began in the area of 38th and Lafayette as police were investigating the fatal shooting. The chase ended in a four car crash in Hendricks County. Two people from one of the vehicles were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
IMPD Southeast Commander Ron Hicks says a gun was recovered that was thrown from the suspects vehicle. IMPD says they are trying to piece together all of the incidents, but can't do so until they speak with all victims and show them lineups.
