Columbus Police arrested a man for being in possession of stolen property late Thursday, but not without incident.
Lt. Matt Myers says officers arrested 41-year-old Robin Ransom. Myers says Ransom was operating a stolen moped with a broken tail light. He adds that during the arrest, Ransom's wife, 36-year-old Nicki Ransom, arrived on the scene. They say she refused officers' instructions to leave the area.
Myers says Mrs. Ransom later resisted when they tried to arrest her and officers had to taze her. She faces disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement charges.
They also tazed a pit bull they say escaped from Ransom's vehicle and went after them. Myers says the dog is fine
