A man is dead after a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-65 in White County Friday afternoon.
Indiana State Police say the crash happened approximately five miles west of Brookston, Indiana at the 189 mile marker on I-65. Traffic was moving slowly due to cleanup from an earlier crash when a semi tractor-trailer ran into another semi driven by 37-year-old Kirk Long of Frankfort. The collision caused Long's semi to crash into an International Brinks truck.
The driver of the first semi, 41-year-old Michael Douglas Foster of Edgewater, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene. Long was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Brinks truck, Earl Hall, and his passenger, 37-year-old Eduardo Ruiz were taken to IU Health Arnett Hosptial in Lafayette with non-life threatening injuries.
The interstate remained closed Friday evening.
