A Marion County Civil Court judge has granted a preliminary injunction in the case of seven Indianapolis hair stylists who say their co-worker should share that winning $9.5 million Hoosier Lotto ticket.
The decision definitively prevents the Hoosier Lottery from distributing the money to Christina Shaw.
The hair stylists' attorney Scott Montross has said if all sides cannot settle out of court, he would file an official complaint on behalf of his clients. Now that the judge has ruled, it's expected that Montross may move forward with the complaint.
Shaw's attorney Kent Smith has said that Shaw bought the ticket at the same place she bought lottery pool tickets. The hair stylists claim Shaw violated their rule and should share the money.
