Date to Select New Pope Expected Soon

A date for the Catholic Church to select a new pope hasn't been set yet as Cardinals are still arriving, poised to enter The Sistine Chapel before voting for a new pope.

The papal conclave could include as many as 117 eligable Cardinals out of 207, as those over the age of 80 are excluded.  Monsignor Joseph Shadle, with St. Luke's Catholic Church says the conclave, usually after the death of a pope, starts within about 15 days, but Pope Benedict the 16th resigned after creating a rule that they could set a conclave date before that 15 day period.

Shadle says he fully expects the conclave to set a date within the next two weeks.
