Metro Police are investigating the death of a man on the city's southwest side Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 5000 block of Wicks Drive on a report of an unresponsive person who may have been shot.  When they arrived, officers found 28-year-old David McMiller unresponsive inside his apartment.  McMiller was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

Investigators believe McMiller may have been shot or stabbed.  An autopsy by the Marion County Coroner's Office is scheduled for Thursday morning.  Police also believe three small children were present during a struggle between the victim and one or more suspects.  The children were not harmed and are in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Police have no suspect information.  Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
